First impressions:
ASUS drivers for Windows installer is top notch. Completely automated and trouble-free.
XP is fast…much more s than I expected
Xandros is not too bad…but it is certainly worth your time to change the desktop to ‘advanced mode’
800×600 sucks
I wish my Mac were this small…
Definitely worth trying out if you need a small travel machine.
Wall Street Journal is reporting that CompUSAs’ last 100 stores will be closing.
What I gather from this article is that Tiger Direct may buy some of the stores for retail locations…which is dumb on their part, considering the slaughter the personal tech market has seen in recent years.
This leaves pretty much just local shops and BestBuy for those ‘gotta have it now’ purchases.
